THE SIDE WE'LL FOCUS ON MAINLY WOULD BE OUR [INAUDIBLE] SIDE WHICH IS FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE THERE FOR MULTIPLE REASONS.

REALLY FOUR GENERAL REASONS.

EITHER, ONE, THEY'RE BEHIND AND THEY NEED A LITTLE CHANCE TO CATCH UP.

TWO, THEY WANT TO GRADUATE EARLY.

THREE, THEY HAVE CHILDREN AND THEY NEED TO [INAUDIBLE] IN DAYCARE WE OFFER, OR FOUR SOMETIMES THEY'VE LEFT SCHOOL FOR WHATEVER REASON AND THEY WANT TO COME FINISH AND WE GIVE THAT OPPORTUNITY.

THAT STATEMENT IS ON OUR WALL ACTUALLY AT REESE UP AT OUR MEETING CENTER WHEN WE TAKE OUR BREAKS, THAT REESE IS A BLEND OF COURAGE AND SWAGGER AND WE CAN STAND BY THAT.

IT TAKES COURAGE TO GO TO REESE IN LOTS OF CASES.

BUT SIMPLY STATED, SWAGGER COMES FROM STUDENTS THAT GRADUATE FROM REESE CENTER, [INAUDIBLE].

YOU SEE OUR CREDIT CHAMPIONSHIP BELT THAT STUDENTS GET TO TAKE A PICTURE WITH ONCE IN SIX WEEKS, WHOEVER HAS THE MOST CREDITS.

YOU'LL SEE IN THE SLIDES WE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF CREDITS WE AWARDED AND SO THAT'S GOING TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF GRADUATES IN DECEMBER.

IT'S GOING TO BE A DOMINO EFFECT.

WE SERVE MORE STUDENTS THIS YEAR THAN PREVIOUS YEARS.

WE'RE UP TO 117 STUDENTS SERVED IN THE WINGS ACADEMY AS OPPOSED TO 88 THE YEAR BEFORE.

WE'RE GOING TO MOVE THE NEEDLE UP AND AS THE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL OF THE HIGH SCHOOL, I COULD ALWAYS SEE THE NEED FOR REESE.

I REALLY FEEL LIKE AS A DISTRICT GROWS, REESE IS GOING TO GROW AND I THINK THAT'S IMPORTANT.

WE SHOULD START A YEAR ABOUT 75 STUDENTS, WHICH THIS PAST YEAR WE STARTED AT 56 AND THE HOT POINT DURING THIS LAST SCHOOL YEAR WAS ABOUT 68 OR 69.

WE EXPECT TO START THE YEAR LARGER THAN WHAT WE WERE LAST YEAR, WHICH IS A GOOD THING.

ALL OUR TEACHING STAFF RETURNED FOR THIS COMING YEAR, WHICH IS GREAT.

DAEP STAFF, WE'VE GOT THE RIGHT STAFF IN PLACE.

STRAPS PROGRAM GREW 500 PERCENT OF THIS MALESKER MIGHT GO CONTAGIOUS AND IT MADE IT MORE EFFECTIVE AND EASIER TO USE FOR CAMPUSES.

IT WENT FROM SEVEN PLACEMENTS TO 35, WHICH WAS BIG.

AS I SAID, THIS YEAR, WE DOUBLED OR MORE THAN DOUBLED THE CREDITS AWARDED FROM THE PREVIOUS YEAR.

WE'RE ALMOST 1,200 AND THEY WERE A LITTLE LESS 600 THE PREVIOUS TWO YEARS AND WE'LL SEE THE FRUITS OF THAT IN DECEMBER.

CHALLENGES, A COUPLE OF CHALLENGES ACTUALLY TURN OUT TO BE SUCCESSES.

BUT WE HAVE AN INFLUX OF YOUNGER STUDENTS THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS.

THIS YEAR IN PARTICULAR, WE HAVE 32 STUDENTS THAT WERE SOPHOMORES AND FRESHMEN, AND THOSE TYPICALLY NOT THE STUDENTS THAT DO WELL AT REESE JUST BECAUSE OF THE SELF-PACED ASPECT OF IT.

BUT DUE TO COVID AND THE VIRTUAL ASPECT THAT HAPPENED THERE, LOTS OF STUDENTS TOOK A YEAR OFF, WELL, NOW THEY'RE BEHIND.

NOW THEY'RE 15-YEAR-OLD FRESHMEN, THAT HAS TWO CREDITS THAT GETS INTO REESE.

THAT'S BEEN A CHALLENGE TO REACH THOSE STUDENTS AND KEEP THEM ON TRACK.

ATTENDANCE. WHEREVER WE MOVE THE NEEDLE A WHOLE LOT THIS YEAR WILL MOVE TO A LITTLE BIT.

BUT AGAIN, WE HAD THE OMICRON VARIANT, WE HAD THE DELTA VARIANT, AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT OTHER VARIANT I'M MISSING, BUT THAT TAKES A HIT AND THEN AGAIN, IN REALITY WE'RE A CAMPUS OF STUDENTS THAT HAPPEN TO BE THERE BECAUSE THEY DON'T NECESSARILY LIKE GOING TO SCHOOL.

SO WE'RE FIGHTING THAT A LITTLE BIT TOO.

IN THIS YEAR WE DID SEE A BIG INCREASE IN MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES.

IN FACT, SOME OF THOSE ARE ACTUALLY GOING TO BE A SUCCESSFUL TALK ABOUT AT THE END OF THE PRESENTATION.

BUT I THINK THAT'S NOT ISOLATED TO US, THAT'S EVERYONE.

VAPE. GOOD NEWS, VAPING NUMBERS WENT DOWN, WHICH WE'RE HAPPY WITH.

I THINK THE CHANGES WE MADE TO THE PUNISHMENT ARE WORKING.

I THINK IT'S POSITIVE.

WE DROPPED FROM 116 PLACEMENTS TO 93.

NOT INCLUDED IN THAT ARE OUR THC EXPULSIONS, WHICH WAS NEW FOR US THIS YEAR.

WE HAD 15, WHICH WOULD STILL BE LOWER, BUT THAT'S AN EXPULSION.

I DIDN'T PUT UP WITH THAT NUMBER AND THAT'S ACTUALLY INCREASED OUR NUMBERS OF DAEP.

WE HAVE LOG REPLACEMENT, SO THEY END UP BEING THERE FOR A WHOLE SEMESTER WHICH NEXT ACADEMIC YEAR WILL GET LARGER.

THAT'S OUR VISION, THAT'S WHAT WE LIVE BY EACH AND EVERY DAY.

WE REALLY TRIED TO BE INDIVIDUALIZED AND TALK TO EACH STUDENT AS HE LEAVE.

HOW CAN WE HELP THEM GET TO WHERE THEY WANT TO BE.

DO THEY NEED TO TAKE THIS TEST AND DO THEY TAKE THE [INAUDIBLE]? WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO HELP THEM GET TO WHERE THEY WANT TO BE? JUST A COUPLE OF SUCCESS STORIES I WANT TO KNOW TO HIGHLIGHT TONIGHT.

THREE STUDENTS IN PARTICULAR, CAME TO MIND, THEY WERE ALL 20 YEARS OLD AND THEY SHOWED UP AND THEY TRIED LIFE A LITTLE BIT AND THEY CAME BACK AND SAID, I NEED TO GET MY DIPLOMA.

WE TALKED ABOUT IT AND I WAS UPFRONT, LAID IT OUT, SAID THIS IS HOW YOU CAN DO IT, AND THEY ALL DID IT.

TWO GRADUATE IN DECEMBER WITH US, WHICH WAS FANTASTIC, AND THEN ONE GRADUATED IN [INAUDIBLE] THE ONE THAT HAD THE ROUGHEST TIME, PRODUCT OF REESE GRADUATED THIS SPRING, WHICH IS FANTASTIC.

WE GO A YOUNG MAN FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL. HIS NAME IS RILEY.

HE JUST DIDN'T FIT WITH 2,000 AND HE HAD SOME SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL ISSUES.

HE TALKED TO MR. ANANSI'S CONCEPT AND CASEY SMITH CALLED ME AND SAID WE'VE GOT TO THINK BECAUSE I THINK HE CAN MAKE YOU GO, REESE.

HE'S A LITTLE YOUNGER THAN I LIKED.

BUT WE TALKED ABOUT IT, AND TALKED TO ALL HIS TEACHERS, AND TALKED TO THE PEOPLE AND WE GAVE HIM A GO.

FIRST TWO WEEKS WERE PRETTY CHALLENGING.

BUT HE'LL GRADUATE THIS DECEMBER AND HE'LL BE A YEAR-AND-A-HALF EARLY.

HE REALLY FITS WITH A SMALLER ENVIRONMENT THAT WE HAVE AND HE'S BEEN GREAT.

THEN THE YOUNG LADY CAME IN THIS SPRING.

THAT'S A BIG SUCCESS FORCE, HER NAME IS RAVEN.

SHE CAME IN.

SHE IS PART OF THE FOSTER HOME SYSTEM AND SO SHE BOUNCED AROUND AND SHE CAME IN AND SO NOW SHE WAS BEHIND AND SHE CAME IN AND SHE IS A SWEET GIRL, VERY INTELLIGENT, WORKED REALLY WELL FOR US.

IN FACT, AS SOON AS SHE GRADUATED, SHE HAD TO HURRY UP AND GRADUATE BECAUSE SHE WAS BEING PLACED IN AMARILLO AND SO SHE WANTED TO FINISH SO SHE COULD GO TO AMARILLO.

SHE DOES CAME AFTER GRADUATION, WHICH IS FANTASTIC.

SHE GOT A SCHOLARSHIP. SHE'S ACTUALLY ENROLLED IN TULSA WELDING SCHOOL.

THOSE NEXT TEST WERE SUPER EXCITED FOR HER.

THAT'S REALLY ALL I HAVE UNLESS THEY'LL HAVE SOME QUESTIONS.

NOT THAT IT WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN DONE BY ANOTHER PRINCIPAL, BUT I DO KNOW I'VE WORKED IN OTHER DISTRICTS AND NOT EVERY DISTRICT DOES THIS AND HERE'S SPECIFICALLY WHAT I MEAN, THE THREE 20-YEAR-OLDS THAT CAME.

YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO TAKE A 20-YEAR-OLD IN A SCHOOL DISTRICT.

YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE TO AND YOU TAKE A RISK.

THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TAKES A RISK WHEN THEY ALLOW 20-YEAR-OLDS FROM OUR ACCOUNTABILITY FORMULA.

BECAUSE THERE ARE 20 AND SO THEY'VE BEEN HANDING ON SCHOOL FOR A WHILE AND PROBABLY WHEN THEY WERE IN SCHOOL, IT DIDN'T WORK OUT TOO WELL.

THEY COULD COME IN, TRY IT FOR A FEW WEEKS, AND WHEN THEY DROP OUT, THAT COUNTS AGAINST THIS, THEY COUNT AS A DROPOUT FOR US.

MANY DISTRICTS WILL TALK THEM OUT.

THOSE THREE 20-YEAR-OLDS, THEY NEVER WOULD HAVE TAKEN THEM TO BEGIN WITH.

THEY WOULD'VE SAID, "NO, YOU NEED TO TRY AND THERE'S A LIST.

THE THINGS THAT YOU'VE TRIED TO GET THEM TO DO AND YOU TRIED TO TALK THEM OUT, IF NOT, COME INTO YOUR SCHOOL, AND WE DON'T DO THAT. THANK YOU FOR THAT.
